Dorian frowns because one of his dwarven contacts was willing to take him out of Kirkwall and on to his next port of call but he had stayed. He feels a sense of accomplishment here, helping these wayward mages who have no idea what to do with a little bit of freedom. He's fixing something. It's a good lesson for him when he wants to change his homeland.
