It doesn't seem reasonable but Dorian is used to politics being seperate from the Chantry. The Tevinter Chantry has very little power. What they have is lip service and that's all.

It's not your fault your Commander went mad and some mage attacked the Chantry. I'm not worried and you shouldn't be either."
